How to Play

Time your casts so that you reel in as many fish as you can. Avoid catching a bomb or coming up empty 3 times. Do either and it is game over.

• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the game welcome screen.
  • Tap anywhere on the game welcome screen to start the game.
  • The upper left corner of the welcome screen shows your best score while the upper right corner of the welcome screen has a sound control button.
  • The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a game developer information button while the lower right corner of the welcome screen has a more games button.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to cast your line.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to cast your line.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Your remaining hooks are shown in the upper left corner.
    • Your current game score is shown top center.
    • The sound control button is in the upper right corner.
• Game Play
  • This is a fairly basic fishing game where you time the cast of your hook to try to capture one or more fish while avoiding the bombs.
  • Casting a line
    • Where you click or tap on the screen does not matter, but when you tap does.
    • The moment you tap your line goes out in the angle it was at when you initiated the cast.
    • Your line goes out until it runs into a fish or bomb, or until it gets to the end of its cast path if it catches nothing. On its return you can catch additional fish or bombs on your hook.
  • Catching fish
    • Your hook can catch fish on the way out, or when you reel it back in.
    • When you run into a fish on the way out it automatically causes your line to reel back in.
    • Each fish you catch is worth 5 points.
    • If you catch multiple fish on a single hook the second fish is worth 10 points.
  • Dying
    • You start the game with 3 hooks.
      • Each time you cast a line and catch a fish you retain the hook used.
      • Each time you cast a line and do not catch a fish you lose a hook.
    • The game ends either when you lose all 3 hooks or you reel in a bomb.
  • Tips
    • Lead the fish with your aim so they run into the hook and you do not aim behind where they are when the hook gets there.
    • Try to reel in fish which are close to the center of the screen.
    • The game is not timed, so it is best to take your time & make a clean cast with a high probability of success.
    • Aiming for fish which are deeper or near the sides of the screen increases the chance you will catch a bomb.
