How to Play

Quickly score 5 goals on each level before the timer runs out. Use power ups and knock out defensemen with the ball to make it easier to put a clean shot on goal.

• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Select the green button in the lower center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right, a more games button in the lower left, and a game developer information button in the lower right.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Activate the left flipper by pressing the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Activate the right flipper by pressing the S key or the right arrow key.
    • You can also use the mouse to left click on the left side or right side of the screen to activate the left or right flippers.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the left side of the screen to activate the left flipper.
    • Tap on the right side of the screen to activate the right flipper.
  • Controls & indicators
    • In the top left of the screen there are buttons to pause the game and return to the level select screen.
    • The top center shows the current level number, how many goals you have scored on the level, and a red timer for how long you have to score your next goal.
    • In the top right of the screen there are buttons to restart the level and control game sound.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a pinball game where you have to score 5 goals on each level to beat the level and move onto the next.
    • You are given unlimited balls to play with, but must quickly score goals before the timer runs out.
    • Your ball can get redirected by a defenseman or the goalie, but you also knock them out of the game for a brief moment after hitting them.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a stage by scoring 5 goals before the red timer meter reaches zero.
      • If the red timer meter reaches zero you lose the level and must play it again, though this game offers unlimited continues.
    • Star ratings
      • You can beat a level with anywhere between a zero star and 3 star rating.
      • You earn a high star rating by finishing the level quickly.
      • The level select screen does not show how many stars you got on each level, so star ratings don’t really matter.
  • Powerups
    • On the field a variety of power ups appear temporarily. You can collect them by hitting them with the ball.
      • Yellow
        • 2X – activates multiball, which lasts until you score a goal or lose a ball.
        • Fire – allows the ball to pass through defensemen and the goalie unimpeded.
        • Decrease ball size – allows you to hit the ball harder & have it move faster, while also giving it a smaller cross section, making it easier to get past defensemen.
        • Shrink defensemen size – makes defensemen smaller, which makes it easier to shoot your ball past them.
      • Red
        • Increase ball size – gives the ball a larger cross section, which makes it easier to bump into defensemen.
        • Increase defensemen size – makes defensemen bigger, which makes it easier for them to block your shots.
      • Yellow are generally considered good while red are considered bad, however even the red power ups can be helpful if they enable you to clear out multiple opponents quickly to give you a clean shot on goal.
        • The icons to enable a power up only show for a couple seconds.
        • When a power up is activated it lasts for about 5 seconds or (if it impacts the ball) until the ball is lost.
        • You can activate multiple power ups at the same time.
  • Tips
    • You get unlimited balls, so don’t be afraid of losing some.
    • Whenever possible try to shoot straight upfield so you minimize the time defenders have to move into the ball.
    • If you have to ricochet a shot it is typically better to hit low or mid on the side walls & then have it bounce upward. Hitting higher up on the wall makes it easier to lose a ball wide either side of the goal.
    • Be prepared to quickly react whenever you shoot as defensemen can bounce the ball right back at you & defeated defensemen can reappear at any second.
