The game’s objective is to score as many goals possible before the time runs out. You can choose from eight teams. Once you select a flag, you represent the team at a game. Unlike group soccer, you only compete against one player from an opposing team. The first level starts off easy, as the player just keeps blocking you off. However, expect the succeeding levels to have more responsive players. They will kick or hit the ball with their head to get it behind you. When this happens, it’s easy to get the ball into the goal. So try to get the ball behind your opponent. This will increase your chances of scoring.

The control keys take a while getting used to. To move left and right, you must press the left and right arrow keys. Press Z to headbutt and X to kick. Timing your kicks and headbutts takes a bit of practice, so expect to be playing levels again. When you lose, you can simply play it again until you win. The game is certainly an interesting take on playing football for the World Cup.

As the name suggests, this cartoonish sports sim is a simplified version of soccer. You play as a single footballer representing one of eight nations. You play one-on-one with several other national teams. With each round, you must get the ball into the other team’s goal before the time runs out. To score a goal, you can kick the ball or bounce it off your head.

You play through the keyboard. The early half of the game feels a lot like playing a game of rock ’em sock ’em robots. It’s a challenge to get the ball to a position where you can shoot it to the goal. The key is to get it behind the rival player.
