Playing Drifter requires constant attention. The rules may be simple, but it’s not a standard car game. You must turn right by holding the mouse at the right timing. Press just enough, and you make the turn. Press too much, and you’ll send your car straight into the wall. You lose once your crashes or scrapes the track wall. Another tricky part is anticipating the turns. After making a turn, you immediately have to guide your car to make the next turn.

You can choose from two drift courses. The first is the Circuit Drift which is your standard oval course. This is the beginner level. The second is the Infinity Drift shaped like an eight. This is a lot more challenging to maneuver. You get stars on the track when your car makes the drive. Once you reach a certain score, you can unlock the next three car models. Drifter takes time to learn. Once you get it, it’s pretty addictive.

Thinking ahead is critical to getting far in this game.
