How to Play

Roll the dreidel in turns to see how much gelt you can accumulate.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button below the game’s title to begin.
• Game Controls

    • With your mouse, left click to swipe the dreidel.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to swipe the dreidel.
• Game Play
  • Starting the game
    • Choose the number of human players and computer players.
      • Up to 4 players can play the game.
      • There can be a maximum of 4 human players.
      • A single player can go against up to 3 computer players.
        • If a human player is out of the game with 3 computer players, the remaining computer players will play against one another.
        • We don’t recommend playing against 3 computer players. An unlucky roll can have you eliminated in the first round.
    • All players start with 8 gelt (coins).
  • The Pot
    • At the start of each turn, players must add 2 gelt into the pot.
    • Each time the pot is emptied, players must add 2 gelt to the pot.
  • Spinning the dreidel
    • Each of the 4 sides of the dreidel is represented by a Hebrew letter and action:
      • Nun (do nothing)
      • Gimel (receive all of the pot)
      • Hey (receive half of the pot)
        • If the pot is an odd number, the player receives half the pot rounded down.
        • e.g. If the pot had 15 gelt, the player gets 7.
      • Shin (add 1 gelt to the pot)
    • Players take turns spinning the dreidel and perform the action indicated by the dreidel.
  • End game
    • Should a player run out of gelt on hand, they are out of the game.
    • The last player with any gelt left takes the pot and wins the game.

  • The game is suited for players who like multiplayer board games & people who celebrate Hanukkah.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
