How to Play

As Vampirina, fly through the solar system and collect stars. Avoid the various perils found in each celestial body.

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button on the bottom right corner to begin.
  • Use the speaker button on the top left corner to turn the sound on and off. We recommend keeping it on, as Vampirina acts as the game’s guide.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and high scores.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click to make Vampirina ascend.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap on the screen with your fingers to make Vampirina fly.
• Game Play
  • Level selection
    • Levels represent 7 planets and 1 moon and are arranged according to their distance from the sun.
      • Mercury
      • Venus
      • Earth’s Moon (Luna)
      • Mars
      • Jupiter
      • Saturn
      • Uranus
      • Neptune
    • Only Mercury is playable at the start of the game.
    • You can replay any of the celestial objects you’ve unlocked.
    • Your high score for the planet is shown on a sign on top of it.
  • Basic rules
    • Fly through the surface of the planet or moon for as long as you can.
      • Left click or tap to ascend.
      • Don’t do anything to descend. Vampirina will not crash if she descends to the lowers part of the screen.
      • Vampirina moves forward constantly, even when flying low.
    • Avoid hitting anything.
      • Each celestial object has their own unique type of hazard, most of which are based on things you can find there in real life.
        • Mercury has tornadoes.
        • Venus has erupting volcanoes.
        • Earth’s Moon has asteroids.
        • Mars has dust storms.
        • Jupiter has lightning.
        • Saturn has rings.
        • Uranus has falling diamonds.
        • Neptune has wind.
      • Some of these hazards move up, down, or both.
      • Each time you hit a hazard, you lose a heart.
        • Collect hearts to keep going.
        • Lose all your hearts and it’s game over.
      • Keep playing for as long as you want.
      • If you want to quit, select the home button on the top left corner to return to the welcome screen.
    • Collect stars
      • Stars represent your score. The more stars you pick up, the higher your score.
      • Collect 20 stars to unlock the next celestial object.
  • Science facts
    • On the level selection screen, select the science facts button to learn more about each of the celestial objects you visited.
    • Use the arrows on the top center of the screen to move between each celestial body.
    • There are 3 science facts per planet, represented by a picture.
    • Select the speaker button on the center right of the screen to play all the science facts, or select each picture to open the science fact.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for young players who like simple flying games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
