Barnyard Match Card Game for Kids Game Play Instructions

How to Play

Match as many cards as you can. Watch out for one-of-a-kind surprise cards.

  • Starting the Game
    • On the welcome screen, select the play button below the game’s title.
  • Game Controls
    • Desktop
      • Using your mouse, left click on a card to reveal it, then left click on another to attempt a match.
    • Touchscreen devices
      • Use your fingers to touch the screen and reveal the cards you touch.
  • Game Play
    • Basic
      • Take turns with Daniel Tiger (single player) or another player in matching cards.
      • When playing against Daniel, he will provide a basic tutorial of the game.
      • Watch out for surprise cards.
    • Matching cards
      • Flip one card to know what’s underneath it.
      • Flip another card to end your turn.
        • Daniel will point out whether the card is a match.
      • Match the cards that have the same animal on them.
      • When playing against Daniel, he will go first.
      • If he spots a card that he’s seen before, he will ask you if you remember where it was before.
    • Surprise cards
      • Surprise cards are one of a kind. When you find one, it will be removed from play on the same turn.
      • These cards lead to a cut scene, which can do any of the following:
        • A song, where Daniel sings about the farm animal featured.
        • A hidden picture that shows the farm animal in silhouette. Daniel will reveal the animal before the turn ends.
        • A picture of an animal. Daniel will talk about the sound it makes.
    • End game
      • When you or Daniel find the last cards, the game is over.
      • You can click on the farm animals that appear on the screen. Daniel does their vocalizations.
  • Target Audience
    • This game is suited for young children and fans of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.
    • Compared to other matching games, this isn’t as difficult and is very slow paced. It’s a good way to introduce young children to the genre, but will not be as entertaining for older kids.
    • There is no adult content in this game.
